FAQs

What are ‘Camera Fees’ and how much are they?‎
There are no longer any fees for camera or video camera use. However, many sites will not allow you to take them in, and you may have to check them in at the entrance. If they do allow them they must be set to museum mode as they will not allow regular flash. This damages the artifacts. The rules do change regularly.
‎ How safe is travel in Egypt?‎
‎In order to keep our costs as low as possible, we do not offer travel insurance. It is possible to ‎purchase travel insurance for the entire year from your home country at a rate less than what ‎we would be able to offer for the short duration of your tour.‎
Why is the temple of Edfu significant?
It is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. The temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, was built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BCE. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth, and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt.
